Littmus came home after the war and none of his family was there. He sat on his front step and cryed, because he missed his family. He thought that he was going to build a candy factory. Opal asked, " Is the cany factory still there?" Amanda said, " The old creapy building, and the big scary one?" The famous candy that Littmus created is the "Littmus Lozenge". Opal and Amanda asked, " Do they make them anymore?" Miss. Franny said, " No, but I have some!"
After Opal and Winn-Dixie left the library they went to Gloria Dumps house and Opal asked her, " Do you want the small prize or the big prize?" The small prize was the candy, and the big prize was the book. Gloria told her, " I want the small one!" OPal opened the candy and gave it to Gloria and she noticed it was candy.
The preacher told Opal that he tasted Root Beer, Strawberry & Melancholy. Opal said what does melancholy mean? The preacher said sadness.
