Winn-Dixie: Summery of Chapter 11 & 12

Opal and the preacher thought that Winn-Dixie was afraid of thunder storms. Opal went to go, and work; when she went up to the door the sign said, "CLOSED" When she walked into Gertrude's pet store and all the animals were out of their pins. She was wondering why the animals were out of their pins. Otis was playing his gutiar , him playing his gutiar calmed the animals down. Opal and Otis started talking and Otis told Opal I let them out; so they aren't always in their pins locked up. Otis told Opal I know what it feels like not able to not to get out of their pin, because I once was in jail. Opal was like I wonder what the preacher would think about her working with someone who has been in jail. Otis asked, " Opal aren't you suppose to be sweeping the floor.
