Flower for Algernon

Charlie Gordon is a mentally retarded adult. He worked at a bakery. A co-worker named Gimpy of Charlie's told him to pick up a bread pan that he droped. Charlie told Gimpy hold on let me put the bags of flour down. Gimpy was very rude to Charlie and said, "I need it now", so Charlie picked it up and Charlie droped the flour and all the other workers started to laugh at Charlie. Then the next day his girlfriend Alice told him I know someone who could help you be smarter. Alice asked Charlie, "Do you remember Dr. Strauss?", he wants to see if the experment would work on a human being, and Dr. Strauss could use him to see if the experiment would work on humans. They have experimented it on animals and it worked the animal that they used was a mouse named Algernon, but the mouse started geting weaker and weaker each day. The next day Charlie went to go and visit Algernon and he found Algernon dead. Then Charlie started to be nice to the co-workers and acting weird, so his boss fired him. Even though his boss told him that he would have the job for life. He told Alice when I am gone will you do this for me put flowers on Algernon's grave when you can, please. She said that she would when she had some time. Charlie told Alice thank you for doing that favor for him. I think he was very thankful that he had someone to depend on.
